Bicing is a subcription based service that allows you to hire a bike for up to two hours from over 200 bike stations located all over Barcelona.

It is a great idea for people who want to visit the city but don´t want to take the car or use public transport.  You can get to many more places without having to fight your way through traffic or spend hours finding parking.

You can get a bike at one station and leave it at another which is another advantage, meaning that you don´t have to worry about taking it back to your starting point and wasting valuable sightseeing time.

Although of course it is not meant just for tourists and it is a service that will surely be copied by other major cities in the future.
